Senate Declares Okpebholo’s Seat Vacant

Governor Monday Okpebholo seat has been declared vacant by the Senate on Wednesday.

Okpebholo, who represented Edo Central Senatorial District seat became vacant following his election and inauguration as the Governor of Edo State last month.

Godswill Akpabio, Senate President made the declarations after a valedictory session which was organized for Okpebholo by the Senate.

The Senate also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a bye-election to fill the vacancy.
