Ogun court sentence, 21yrs, 20yrs old boys sentenced to six months imprisonment for stealing fowl, Generator
A 21-year-old boy identified as Adebanjo Segun has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by a Magistrate Court Sitting in Ago Iwoye, Ogun state for stealing a fowl.
The Public Relations Officer of Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dyke Ogbonnaya, made this disclosure in statement on Wednesday.
Ogbonnaya explained that “After a thorough examination of the matter and completion of the investigation, it was discovered that the defendant committed the same offence sometime in December 2024 wherein he was pardoned as a supposed first offender.
“Due to the revelation of the earlier offence, he was charged to the Ago-Iwoye Magistrate Court on a lone count bordering on Section 430 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State, Nigeria 2006, on February 20, 2025.
“After pleading guilty before His Worship O.F. Adeduntan (Mrs.), he was convicted and sentenced to six months imprisonment by the magistrate.”
FCNN gathered that one Kazeem Tobi aged 20 has equally been sentenced to six months imprisonment for stealing an Elepaq generator valued at about N120,000 only.

Tobi was said to have been arrested by the NSCDC patrol team of the division at Idode One Way in Ago-Iwoye while trying to sell the generator to a scavenger.
Tobi was said to have been rearrested on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, and after a thorough examination of the matter, he was charged to the Ago-Iwoye Magisterial Court on two counts bordering on conspiracy to commit felony and possession of item reasonably suspected to have been stolen.
Ogbonnaya said, “The defendant pleaded guilty before His Worship, O.F. Adeduntan (Mrs.) and was remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ijebu-Ode while the matter was adjourned to February 10, 2025, for trial and sentencing.
“On the said adjourned date, after presentation of the facts, the court found the defendant guilty as charged and sentenced him to six months imprisonment.
“The court found the defendant guilty under Section 430 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State, Nigeria 2006 and was sentenced accordingly to six months imprisonment.”
